Arrow Benefits of studying abroad:-

Benefits of studying abroad:-

THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF BENEFITS FOR A STUDENT BY STUDYING ABROAD: -

1.PERSONAL BENEFITS
2.EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS
3.CAREER BENEFITS

International internships prepare you for the future:

· Invaluable international professional experience
· The opportunity to learn from, and network with, professionals from across the world
· Awareness of diverse business practices and customs
· Experience in working with foreign or multinational companies
· Exposure to the global issues facing your industry

How will study abroad help you prepare for your career?

By studying abroad you will benefit from many unique experiences unavailable at your home university. Such experiences include:
· Learning from students from different cultural, ethnic and national backgrounds
· Honing cross-cultural communication skills
· Mastering a foreign language
· Exposure to new ideas and philosophies

When you study abroad your education grows exponentially faster than if you stay home. Your experience will translate into tangible benefits later in life.

Earn Credit

Colleges and universities will grant you academic credit* for the classes you take abroad. That lets you study abroad without delaying your graduation date.

Consult your study abroad or academic advisor before choosing classes.

It’s difficult to receive credit for classes taken abroad that were not approved beforehand. Consult your school’s study abroad advisor prior to leaving to determine which classes will give you credit toward your degree.

Graduate School

Acceptance into graduate school is competitive. Studying or interning abroad will give you a competitive advantage when applying to a graduate school. When you study abroad, you gain many skills, such as:

· Prepared to adapt to unfamiliar environments
· Able to learn from different teaching styles
· Effective communication among diverse groups
· Willingness to challenge yourself and your comfort zones
· Knowledge of a foreign language

By studying abroad you show initiative and eagerness to achieve personal and academically challenging experiences. Studying abroad also highlights your ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds—experience invaluable in graduate school.

Learn a Foreign Language

Whether you want to perfect French in Senegal, learn Hindu in India, or sharpen your English in Britain, studying abroad will help you reach your goal. The benefits to learning a foreign language abroad versus in the U.S. include:

· Complete language and cultural immersion is considered the best way to learn a language
· Endless opportunities to practice the language inside and outside the classroom
· Professors will be native speakers of the language.

Great article. Thanks for sharing...
I can as well ad that there is a difference in attitude towards studying overseas on behalf of parents and kids. Parents often choose cost effective option (recognized degree @ affordable cost), which kids seldom think from the money point of view.... they are too excited about the possibility to go abroad... that can consider event the most expensive option

I definitely agree.. There are really a huge difference when it comes to studying abroad.

Those what you stated are just the clearest benefits you'll get when you go abroad and study.

I would also like to add, "Independent".. Going out of the country to study is one way to become an independent individual. Which would your parents want too!

I think, studying abroad benefits both the children and the parents! Although "homesickness" would be your #1 enemy.. Nowadays, with hi-technology you will not miss home that much!

I know one mom, who visited her elder daughter in Canada 18!!! times, while the kid was doing her masters. Now she is sending her younger daughter to Ukraine for MBBS and as I have understood plans to visit her child even more often...)))) so even if you don't have hi-tech available, you may follow this mother's example... THough I guess buying computer with internet access is still a slighter cheaper option)))
